The Mason House season finale is upon us, brightening up the May Gray of LA’s Westside! Dutch violinist Tosca Opdam has captivated audiences and critics alike with her luminously elegant performances and “gift for storytelling that surpasses mere virtuosity.” She also championed host Todd Mason’s  gorgeous Violin Concerto! For this concert, Opdam is joined by an astounding group of powerhouse musicians:  violinist Asi Matathias, violist Carson Rick, cellist Cécilia Tsan, and pianist Alin Melik-Adamyan.

I will be offering a short introduction to the night’s program: Moszkowski Suite for 2 violins and piano, Brahms’s String Quintet No. 2, and Dvořák’s masterful Piano Quintet No. 2 in A major.

The dinner buffet (free with ticket) starts at 5:30pm; the brief pre-concert talk and concert begin at 6pm!
