This is a very special Mason Concert, bringing together five outstanding chamber musicians in a presentation of two repertoire faves: Mozart’s Piano Quartet in G Minor and Schumann’s luscious Piano Quintet. The brilliant line up? Kyle Gilner (violin), Chloé Tardif (violin), Luke Maurer (viola), Cécilia Tsan (cello), and Timothy Durkovic (piano). The evening also includes a newer work, the deeply personal L’étreinte de l’amour by Todd Mason.

My introduction will offer a user-friendly overview to some of the movements of the two larger works and will include a short interview with Todd Mason about his composition.
