Preconcert Presentation: The Music Guild / SummerFest 2026 (Susan Greenberg & Friends)
June 21 @ 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm PDT

This SummerFest concert from the Music Guild is subtitled “Virtuosity and Color,” a tagline it certain merits! Flute and harp take the spotlight in this program led by flutist Susan Greenberg—a 36-year veteran of the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra and recording artist for more than 500 screen works. Greenberg is joined by violinist Maya Magub, violist Carson Rick, and harpist Cristina Montes Mateo.
Favorites by Fauré, Saint-Saëns, and Ravel—long celebrated for their ingenious timbral colors—are paired with gorgeous compositions by Fiorillo, Piazzola, Rolla, and Andrès. The preconcert program—and add-on ($15) for single-ticket purchasers, but free for members—takes place one hour before the performance and includes with wine and hors d’oeuvres. I hope to see many of my fellow chamber-music lovers at the show!
Founded with the vision of providing familiar and comforting entertainment to the influx of émigrés who arrived in Los Angeles after World War II, the Music Guild is one of the oldest chamber music presenters in the greater Southern California area, dedicated to enriching the cultural fabric of our community through world-class performances and music educational programs.
