This free concert is fantastic extension of my narrator duties with the  Orange County Youth Symphony (led by Music Director Johannes Müller Stosch) and graciously sponsored by the Philharmonic Society of Orange County. The venue is perfect for a more intimate engagement with excited youngsters and their people. I literally never get tired of the magic that happens in these kinds of concerts: children help us feel the joy.

The program and presentation are similar to the PSOC’s “Concerts for Fifth Grade”: this time an exciting ocean-adventure tale for our enthusiastic youngsters, with the orchestra acting as the fiercely talented crew. The concerts also spotlight several OCYS musicians in the role of conductor! The musical program includes works by Beethoven, Tchaikovsky, and Korngold—as well a special “Golden” finale!
