Ok, so I’ve been fan crushin’ on the Zelter Quartet for a while now, so it’s always a joy to introduce their concerts and hear them play! Their enticing program combines Schubert’s incomparable “Death and the Maiden” Quartet with two newer works: Florence Price’s String Quartet No. 2 in A Minor (1935) and Todd Mason’s freshly minted String Quartet No. 4 “City of Angels” (2025).
