My life as a teacher and scholar has been wonderfully enriched over the past 2+ years as a Lecturer in Musicology at UCLA.  Case in point?  The “Music in Dialogue” Conference organized by the student editorial team of MUSE: An Undergraduate Music Studies Journal. The conference will spotlight work by graduating seniors and terminal masters students, and will also include roundtable discussions by faculty and professionals offering insights and ideas for future professional development. That’s where I come in! I’m delighted to have been invited to participate in the closing roundtable discussion on public-facing musicology, together with my colleague Matthew Vest (UCLA Research Librarian) and Holley Replogle-Wong (Program Director of the UCLA Center for Musical Humanities).
