The Danish String Quartet, one of the leading quartets of their generation, continues their three-year La Jolla Music Society residency with five concerts celebrating the 250th anniversary of Beethoven’s birth.

The PRISM Project is a series of musical sets based on the historical and musical impact of Bach’s seminal fugal writing, the final Beethoven string quartets, and compositions which were born out of these fundamentally influential works, including quartets by Shostakovich, Schnittke, Bartók, Mendelssohn, and Webern. The title refers to a beam of music being split through Beethoven’s prism.
