Fifth grade is a tough sell for classical music. But I’m thrilled to return to one of my favorite gigs: narrating an Orange County Youth Symphony concert for local 5th graders. The show’s theme? Resilience and working towards goals, as illustrated by the lives and music of Beethoven, Holst, and John Williams. I applaud the Orange County Philharmonic Society’s fun, innovative approach.
